• These low watt
flat pack resistor units feature a helical wire element
(made from Nichrome or stainless steel resistive alloy)
placed inside a ceramic fixture and inserted into a corrosion
resistant aluminum case. The end of the case is then encapsulated
with ceramic potting material to ensure moisture resistance.
• The rugged compact design can withstand extreme
mechanical shock allowing it to be used in high vibration
applications.
• Lead length can be varied and the ends can be furnished
with easy disconnects.
• Used for very low current industrial applications
from 100 to 400 Watts continuous with high resistance.
Units are most commonly used in the wash-down applications
for light-duty braking of variable frequency drives, heating
and other low wattage load applications.
